On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the Dean of the College of Information Engineering, Professor Dr. Hikmat Najm Abdullah, welcomed Amjad Mahmoud, a Sudanese student admitted to the Computer Networks Engineering Department under the college’s full scholarship program for international students as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s “Study in Iraq” initiative.

The international student expressed his happiness with the warm reception and his enrollment in the College of Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, which is known for its strong academic reputation and distinguished programs that meet the demands of the job market.

During the reception, the Dean met with Amjad Mahmoud in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Imad Abdul Sattar, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Salem Abdul Latif, Rapporteur of the Computer Networks Engineering Department, and Lecturer Hamza Mohammed Marhoon, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Division. The attendees warmly welcomed the international student, wishing him success in his studies and expressing their hope that the college would serve as a nurturing academic environment for achieving his educational and professional aspirations.

With Amjad’s arrival, the total number of international students awarded scholarships for undergraduate studies at the College of Information Engineering has now reached three.
