As part of her graduation project, student Masarat Salah from the Department of Computer Network Engineering developed a smart application designed to locate on-call pharmacies. The project was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Dunia Ahmed Aula.
The application utilizes modern technologies such as GPS, Flutter, and Firebase to help users quickly find 24-hour pharmacies during emergencies. By detecting the user’s location, the app displays the nearest active pharmacies along with essential details such as address, availability status, and contact information.
A dedicated dashboard is also included, allowing for the addition of pharmaceutical products with information like name, description, price, and link. Real-time updates are managed through a cloud-based database.
This innovative project provides a practical tool to enhance access to healthcare services—especially in remote areas—and contributes to the ongoing digital transformation in pharmaceutical care.
