A faculty member at the College of Information Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, Lecturer Noor Qusay Abdulmohsen, participated in the international conference on sustainability and future development entitled:

International Sustainability Conference – United Nations 2030 Agenda: What Next for Sustainable Development,
which was held at Queen Mary University of London in the British capital, London.

The participation included the presentation of a scientific research paper entitled:
NATURE–AI INFUSION FOR A SUSTAINABLE IRAQ: INNOVATIVE IDEAS BEYOND 2030,
which highlights the “One Tree for Every Person” initiative aimed at improving the environmental situation in Iraq, expanding green spaces, and reducing the effects of pollution and climate change.

The research discussed the use of artificial intelligence to support environmental initiatives by identifying suitable areas for cultivation, selecting appropriate plant species, and proposing sustainable irrigation methods that take water scarcity into account and contribute to improved natural resource management.

The conference also witnessed the researcher being honored in recognition of her scientific contribution to the field of environmental sustainability. This participation represented an important opportunity to present the Iraqi experience to international researchers and decision-makers, and to emphasize the role of scientific research and modern technologies in building a sustainable future.
