On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Dr. Hikmat Najm Abdullah, the Dean of the College of Information Engineering, welcomed the Nigerian student Yasal Garba, who has been accepted into the Information and Communication Engineering Department for the academic year 2023-2024 under the scholarship provided by the College of Information Engineering for foreign students, as part of the Ministry of Higher Education’s “Study in Iraq” program. The Nigerian student expressed his happiness at joining the College of Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, which has a good academic reputation and outstanding study programs.

During the meeting with the student, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Information and Communication Engineering Department, and the Registration department official, the Dean of the College extended a warm welcome to the student and expressed his best wishes for his success.

It is worth mentioning that the Nigerian student is the second out of four foreign students from different countries who have been awarded scholarships at the College for the academic year 2023-2024 for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The rest of the students will start their studies during the second semester.
