The College of Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University achieved second place nationwide among Iraqi universities in the results of the National Ranking of Scientific Departments for 2025, issued by the Iraqi University Ranking. This achievement reaffirms the college’s advanced academic standing among its peer engineering colleges.

In addition, the college’s departments that fall within the computer-related disciplines recorded notable progress in the Times Higher Education Ranking at the national level, also securing second place nationally, within the 800–1000 global band.

This accomplishment reflects the continuous efforts of the college’s deanship, faculty members, and administrative staff in developing academic programs, enhancing the quality of education, and supporting scientific research, in line with the adopted ranking standards.

The Deanship of the College of Information Engineering emphasized its commitment to continuing efforts to advance the academic and research level of the college’s departments and to strengthen Al-Nahrain University’s position on the map of Iraqi higher education. These efforts aim to prepare qualified engineering graduates who meet labor market requirements and keep pace with modern technological developments.
