Graduation Project: Traffic Monitoring and Packet Inspection for Network Performance
Taha Alaa Abd, a fourth-year student from the Department of Computer Network Engineering, supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar D. Jassem, developed a project aimed at monitoring and analyzing network traffic in real time to improve performance and detect any issues or threats that could impact network operations.
In large networks, identifying the cause of slow internet speeds or device failures can be challenging. To address this, Taha designed a system that continuously monitors all network activities instantly. The project utilizes tools like Wireshark and PRTG to collect data from network devices and analyze traffic patterns across the network.
The main objective of the project is to simplify network management, reduce troubleshooting time, and enhance network security and stability. This is achieved through an easy-to-use dashboard that clearly displays all relevant information, providing administrators with comprehensive, real-time insights into network health.
