As I reflect on my academic journey, it’s evident that my approach to teaching has undergone a profound transformation. My commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application has been a constant throughout my career, growing in depth as I have advanced professionally. Initially, my teaching style was heavily influenced by personal academic experiences and instincts. Over time, however, engaging with students who have varying levels of comfort with technological subjects has refined my approach, particularly highlighted during my tenure at the college, and has broadened my appreciation for diverse educational needs.
My master’s research has played a crucial role in shaping my pedagogical methods. This academic pursuit has been instrumental in honing my teaching strategies, crystallizing three essential elements at its heart: the accessibility of content, the maintenance of academic rigor, and the cultivation of a community spirit within my classes.
My in-depth experience in the field of mobile application development has been invaluable in providing students with insights into both the detailed technical aspects and the overarching process of app development, including concept, design, and deployment. This holistic perspective, rooted in my direct experience with both native and cross-platform app development, enables me to offer an educational experience that is equally grounded in theory and practice.
In my curriculum, I prioritize making complex technological concepts approachable and ensure that academic rigor is upheld to meet industry benchmarks. I also strive to foster a communal learning environment, mirroring the collaborative essence of the tech industry and underscoring the importance of collective learning and support.
My ultimate aim as an educator is to blend the richness of my industry experience with the comprehensive scope of academic education. This fusion is intended to equip students with not only the technical skills but also the innovative thinking necessary to thrive in the ever-changing technological landscape. By nurturing an environment that is both supportive and challenging, my goal is to produce graduates who are not just skilled in their field but are also trailblazers in the new digital age
