Traditional locks are rapidly being replaced by advanced systems that offer enhanced security features and ease of use. One such innovative solution is the Smart Door Lock using RFID and Arduino technology, a project that exemplifies the future of access control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is RFID and How Does It Work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology that uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. In our smart door lock system, RFID cards act as the keys. When a user swipes their RFID card near the RFID reader, the system reads the card\u2019s unique ID and checks it against a predefined database. If the ID is authorized, the door unlocks. This seamless interaction ensures that only authorized individuals can access secured areas, enhancing both security and convenience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role of Arduino<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arduino microcontrollers are the brains behind this smart door lock system. Known for their flexibility and ease of use, Arduino boards can be programmed to perform a variety of tasks. In our project, the Arduino processes the input from the RFID reader, checks the card ID against the database, and controls the locking mechanism. This integration showcases the power of Arduino in building efficient, reliable, and cost-effective access control systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practical Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The potential applications of RFID and Arduino-based smart door locks are vast.
