The Laboratory has been opened by The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 02/19/2014, aiming to enable the graduate and under graduate students to implement their research and ideas in the field of computer networks.
To lay a solid research base in the Department of Network Engineering and to
represent the latest equipment and technology in the field of computer network and to lay a solid research base in the Department of Network Engineering represented with the latest equipment and technology in the field of computer networks. The laboratory includes (21) computers with high specifications associated with each other to a wireless network, and are controlled by one of the computers used as a server through a central program that controls the rest of Computing (Net support school)
It has a smart blackboard and an advanced sophisticated data show. The Laboratory is supplied with air conditioning in the summer and winter and contain devices (UPS) for high efficiency ) to keep the computers from the variations of the power supply and to provide the necessary electricity for computers operated for a period of not less than one hour in the event of a power outage. The Laboratory is aimed at a wide range of student service to fulfill the practical side of subjects, especially materials and programming material of computer networks and their applications and graduation projects and students in graduate studies (M.Sc.) to complete research projects and applied scientific ideas in the field of network engineering and supporting and implementing the research plan for the teaching staff of the department.
